Tinubu touched down at Orly Airport in Paris at 5.10 pm local time. His visit to Paris is at the invitation of French Chief Executive Emmanuel Macron.
The purpose of the visit is to bolster political, economic, and cultural ties between the both countries, with an emphasis on collaboration in agriculture, security, education, health, youth engagement, innovation, and energy transition.
Presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, said Tinubu and his significant other, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, will be treated at the historic Les Invalides and the Élysée Palace by President Macron and First Lady Brigitte Macron. The gathering will incorporate formal ceremonies and bilateral meetings.
The visit will likewise highlight discussions on promoting youth-centred exchange programmes, especially in automation, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership.
“Both leaders will participate in political and diplomatic meetings highlighting shared values on finance, solid minerals, trade and investments, and communication,” the statement said.
“They will also witness a session by the France-Nigeria Business Council, which oversees private sector participation in economic development.”
