The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expanded President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council with the appointment of former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Publicity Secretary, Olisa Metuh, and former Edo State governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
The party also appointed actress Foluke Daramola and several other political figures in a supplementary list released as part of efforts to strengthen the campaign structure ahead of the 2027 general election.
The supplementary list, contained in a statement signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, covers additional appointments across various directorates, sectoral groups, mobilisation structures and operational units of the campaign council.
The party said the expansion was aimed at improving coordination among the different components of the council as preparations for the election gather pace.
The latest appointments come about two weeks after the APC released an earlier revised list that expanded the campaign structure to include prominent figures outside the party’s traditional fold.
The council’s principal officers remain unchanged, with President Tinubu as chairman, Vice President Kashim Shettima as first vice chairman and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as second vice chairman.
Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, remains Director-General, while Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, serves as secretary.
The expanded campaign structure includes directorates covering areas such as election planning, infrastructure mobilisation, health, civil society, new media, entertainment, security and intelligence, artisan mobilisation, labour relations and parliamentary mobilisation.
Other notable appointments in the supplementary list include former Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai, in the Directorate of Security and Intelligence, while former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello was named Deputy Director I of the Directorate of Contact and Mobilisation.
Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, was also named Director of the Directorate of Air Transport Mobilisation.
The APC said the expansion reflected its commitment to effective coordination of the campaign council and broader mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
